Nutmeg is our first pony purchase, before we even had the keys to our house. Her sire is a dark dappled bay registered Morgan, and her dam is half Shetland, half Welsh.

She is an intelligent and playful pony, though motherhood seems to have given her a calmer attitude towards life, and other ponies. She still wants to know everything that is happening on the property, but no longer needs to be boss.

It was in the search for a stallion for her that we discovered the Fell pony. She has had two fillies by Hadrian, a black called Poppy, and a bay called Tamarind. She is pictured here with Cassie, her first foal, by a Welsh stud.

Nutmeg has great movement, a perfect personality and good confirmation but I do believe she has produced better than herself in each foal.

We have not bred her back for 2008 as we had her offered for sale. We plan to loan her to some friends for their family in the spring unless the perfect buyer comes along.
