Poppy is Nutmeg's, second filly. She is a shiny almost all black foal by Hadrian. She is named after black poppy seeds.

At an early age Poppy was quick to run to the far end of the pasture and back, worrying Nutmeg, who all but gave up chasing her and just grazed while watching.

Poppy and Cassie were invited to the Ag Fest 2007 in Salem, Oregon. Poppy loaded easily and travelled well in the trailer. She enjoyed the constant attention and petting for the weekend, and loaded well for the trip back. She was a hit with all ages who saw her.

She spins on a dime and jumps easily in the air. She still covers distance well. She was handled often in her first few days but then left to play with the others. She enjoys human attention as long as it's not fast or suprising actions. She is currently in Medford, getting ready to start ground training.

As a cross Fell, she is not registerable with the Fell Pony Society, but is registered with the American Draft Pony Association and Registry. She has great potential as a show pony or driving pony and someone's best friend. She has lovely movement. She has a bit of white on a hind heel (pictured). She should make 12.2-13 hands and be able to carry a small adult easily. She is up to date on shots and worming.

Poppy would be a great 4-H project pony for ride or drive. I think she'd also make a good gaming pony or jumping pony in time. Delivery available to most of the Pacific Northwest.
